Say hello to... Michiel
A few months ago, we welcomed Michiel, our new QA Lead at ProPlanner. Time to check in: what were his first impressions, what drives him in his role, and how does he view quality within our team? We spoke with him about his experiences and ambitions.
You have been working at ProPlanner for almost 3 months now, what is your first impression?
ProPlanner is clearly a rapidly growing company, and this is reflected in the energy within the team. The product is well-designed and offers many possibilities for car rental companies, with sufficient flexibility to respond to various customer needs. That makes it exciting to help build and further improve it.
What will you do to strengthen our team?
As QA Lead, I want to continue building a high-quality and reliable product together with the team. This means focusing not only on technical quality, but also on user-friendliness and stability for the end user. By establishing clear QA processes, collaborating with development, and encouraging feedback, I want to help make quality a shared responsibility within the entire team.
What makes a successful workday for you?
A workday is successful for me if I feel that we have made progress. When a product or process works just a little better, is clearer, or feels more robust at the end of the day than at the beginning, I go home with a good feeling.
What is your favorite challenge so far?
My primary challenge is developing an automation framework. This is a continuous process that will grow along with the product and the team. By working on this step by step, we are laying a strong foundation to continue improving the quality and stability of ProPlanner in the long term.
