Lander, mobile developer at ProPlanner
Team

Say hello to... Lander

22 July 2026

Lander recently joined our development team as a Mobile (Flutter) Developer. With his passion for mobile technology, he contributes to the further development of our mobile solutions. We spoke with him about his first experiences at ProPlanner, his daily work, and what motivates him as a developer.

You have been working with us for almost 3 months now. What is your first impression of ProPlanner?

My first impression of ProPlanner is definitely positive. After starting, I quickly landed my first project and am already hitting my stride. I am given responsibility, freedom, and allowed to do what I am good at. That gives satisfaction and pleasure.

Additionally, I enjoy working in a smaller company where people talk to each other and know one another. What makes it interesting: There are many technical colleagues to brainstorm with, certainly compared to my previous job. People also really listen to each other here, which I find very positive.

In addition, I also attach great value to the atmosphere within the company. Activities such as the fun team-building event we had recently, and other benefits, like good air conditioning (laughs), certainly contribute to that.

What will you do to strengthen our team?

I am currently working with the mobile team on a complete rehaul of the tablet app our customers are currently using. In doing so, we are rewriting the application in a more modern language, providing a new UI and UX, and focusing on quality, performance, and ease of use. At the same time, we are building a strong foundation that will make it easier to add new features in the future.

Additionally, the intention is for me to monitor everything related to mobile applications and help further develop them. This way, I can leverage my experience to contribute to high-quality and future-proof mobile solutions.

What do you currently get the most challenge from?

What has challenged me most over the past few months is taking on a coordinating and planning role in a company where I am still relatively new. I help steer, while colleagues are more familiar with the UI and existing operations. At the same time, I am learning at a rapid pace about the technologies used here.

That combination of taking responsibility, collaborating with experienced colleagues, and delving into new technologies makes my role very interesting. Additionally, I find it fascinating to contribute to thinking about how we can further improve internal processes.

Where do you hope to be in a year?

In a year, I hope that PP Touch will have become the standard app for our customers and completely replaced the old app. The new application must score better in all areas, from ease of use and functionality to testing and performance.

By then, I also hope that we are already fully engaged in a next project. Additionally, it would be great if we had fully taken over everything related to mobile applications in-house and could continue building on new improvements and innovations.
